Riverview Park Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) Celebration & Parade, October 28, 2018
The Annual Riverview Park Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration will take place on Sunday, October 28, 2018 in Riverview Park, Jersey City Heights.
Join the Riverview Farmers Market and the Riverview Neighborhood Association in celebrating the diversity of the Heights in this day of free, family-friendly programming!
Here’s the schedule for the day:
10:00 AM – 3 PM: Vendors selling hot chocolate and pan de muerto, as well as Mexican food
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Free face-painting for kids
12:30 PM: Music in the Park…a mariachi band!
1:00 PM: Day of the Dead Puppet Parade, featuring puppets made by local artists and community members
2:00: Riverview Neighborhood Association (RNA) Dog Parade & Costume Contest. Bring your dressed-up pup to the center of Riverview Park at 2:00 PM. Judges will announce the winners and give out prizes at 2:30 PM.
Rain Date: Sunday, November 4, 2018 (We will make an announcement here and on social media if we need to postpone)
Riverview Park is located along Palisade Avenue between Griffith and Bowers Streets.
This event is co-organized by Farms in the Heights (Riverview Farmers Market) and Riverview Neighborhood Association (RNA).
